Moong Dal Khichdi with Ghee

A comfort food that’s light, wholesome, and easy on the stomach.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup yellow moong dal
  • ½ cup rice
  • 2 tbsp Anaamrit ghee
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups water

Method:

  1. Wash rice and dal, soak for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add turmeric.
  3. Add soaked rice and dal, sauté in ghee for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour 3 cups water, add salt, and stir well.
  5. Pressure cook for 3 whistles.

Serving Tip: Drizzle extra ghee before serving with papad or pickle.
